Welcome to my little shrine about my strange hyperfixation, attorney Bogdan Werner from a polish tv show "Adam i Ewa"... This is a little niche, the fan community is tiny, but I binged it with my boyfriend and I can't stop thinking about this guy. There is seriously something wrong with him.
I hope that even people from outside of my country can appreciate a little page about this topic!

What even is this show??

"Adam i Ewa" [eng: Adam and Eve] is a polish soap opera, running on TV in years 2000-2002, often described as the first telenovela made in Poland. 187 episodes were produced and you can watch all of them here, on youtube! Sadly, the only public version are VHS recordings of the TV runs, which leaves them in a questionable quality. At moments even unwatchable, but I have to admit, it's pretty funny to watch a serious scene and then suddenly be hit with crazy distortion, like Slenderman is about to get you. But I'm very glad it's out there, even all blurry and compressed :-D I just hope that someday we will be able to watch it in full glory ^^

It's about a crazy love story between Ewa Werner [Katarzyna Chrzanowska], a tired 36 year old mother of two and stuck in an unhappy marriage, and Adam Rozdrażewski [Waldemar Goszcz], a childish 30 year old celebrity with intelligence of a large dog barking at its own tail. And it seems like for some reason, the whole world hates them and everyone around wants them to die. Husbands, step-mothers, step-sisters, air balloons, reporters, girlfriends, paparazzi, Satan, heroin addicts, mexican mafia or something like that. A horse almost kills Adam at some point. It's the most perfect mix of romance, family drama, celebrity controversies, crime, psychological exploration and unintentional comedy.

It's such a simple premise, but the actual plot is genuinely insane. I always repeat it to my boyfriend, but sometimes I wonder if at some point the surprises and effectiveness of them will end, but it just keeps going and going. I've watched 100+ episodes so far and I never know what the hell could happen next. It follows all the telenovela stereotypes and yet is so unpredictable and truly unique, mostly because of the antagonists, who act comically evil for a show like this, while being incredibly complex at the same time. This shrine is about the main bad guy. Yeah.

Oh, update! I actually finished it recently and yeah it was fucking insane til the end. Also the last episode's recording was corrupted and the audio sounded like an alien voice modulator. Perfect show

Something else I have to mention for this site to make any sense is the crazy amount of religious symbolism and themes in this show, often in smart or even fully artistic ways. The most obvious one is the title, with the main characters being named after biblical Adam and Eve, but it goes so much deeper in that and it always catches me off guard. I hope to make a whole analysis of it one day, but for now just put a pin on that, I'll come back to it in later sections :D
